If you want to look your best, the first thing you should think about is your skin. Skin that’s healthy looking (with or without wrinkles) radiates a youthful glow no matter what your age.
Whether you have time for intensive skin care or not, following the beauty basics can help you pamper your skin and maintain the glow all through the year.
Cleanse your skin daily
Cleansing your skin daily is the first vital step to perfect skin. You should also make it a point to adapt your products as per your skin type. If you have dry skin, use gentle milk followed by an alcohol-free toner. For oily skin, using a face wash can help freshen the skin. Sensitive skin needs the most care to stay away from redness and inflammation, trying gentle cleansing water followed by skin specific moisturizer will do the magic.
Exfoliate regularly
To maintain a radiant complexion, getting rid of dead skin cells is very important. Exfoliating your skin on a regular basis, leads to smoother skin. Use a gentle exfoliation product, and exfoliate once or twice a week.
Face mask is a must
MY friends ask me if it is possible to over do face masks I use so many!
To get the most of your exfoliation, it should be followed by a mask that helps to replenish and nourish the new skin. Dehydrated and sensitive skin should stick to moisturizing masks, while oily or combination skin can opt for a purifying mask with natural clays to cleanse the pores.
Use a powerful SPF
Sun’s rays are the prime reason behind cell damage that leads to premature appearance of lines and age spots. Use sunscreen whenever you step out in the sun, and make sure you choose the one with good SPF. My favorite is Clairns Sun skin care.
Moisturize
Well-hydrated skin is healthy skin. Choose a moisturizer that will replenish, soothe, and intensely hydrate from deep within. Also use a skin oil like Vitamin E oil once a week.
Swear by serums
Certain serums work brilliantly as priming makeup bases. They hydrate your skin while also providing anti-aging benefits. They smooth the surface of your skin and minimize pores, making ideal base for foundation. I swear by Carita Paris products.
